Historic Main Street

Great Restaurants, Shopping, And Nightlife

Extending through the heart of downtown Half Moon Bay, Historic Main Street offers colorful year-round attractions only 30 minutes from San Francisco. From the best restaurants to eclectic boutiques and quirky antique shops, there’s something for everyone. Half Moon Bay Main Street offers an enchanting mix of old and new, where long established local farm families live elbow-to-elbow with well-heeled retirees and urban expats who’ve only recently grown hip to this secret by the sea.

Cozy pubs? Romantic candlelit inns? Casual lounges?

The downtown Half Moon Bay restaurant scene is as quirky and wonderful as the rest of the region. Whether you’re in the mood for fresh local seafood, tantalizing Italian, authentic Mexican, or succulent sushi, you’ll find it all within just a few blocks. There are cozy pubs, romantic candlelit inns, and casual lounges. The San Benito House saloon has been serving steaks and shots since 1905, while any number of modern restaurants could have been lifted right out of downtown San Francisco or New York. Our advice? Just take a walk and pick the first Bay Area restaurant to strike your fancy. The choice might not be easy, but you’ll never be wrong!
